Introduce the diet gradually over a period of 5-7 days from as early as 3 weeks of age. It is recommended to feed young dogs at least 4 times a day and at least 3 times a day from 2-4 months of age, then twice a day thereafter. Feed sufficient to maintain steady growth, allowing weight gain to match skeletal development. Do not allow any change in diet to coincide with weaning or moving to a new owner. The product can be fed dry or moistened with water or gravy to the consistency that your dog prefers. Typically a thorough mix of 2 parts warm water with 3 parts of dry weight dog food is preferred. The amounts shown are only a guide and you should only feed sufficient amounts to maintain condition dependent upon the level of activity enjoyed and the conformation of your dog. Always ensure that clean, fresh water is available at all times. There is no requirement to supplement this diet with fresh meat.
